Who is Martin Santise?

Hi, my name is Martin

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in December 2017. Before my diagnosis, I had no idea what type 1 diabetes was. There was no history of type 1 diabetes in my family, so this was a shock. Being diagnosed at 22 years old, I felt like my life got ripped right underneath my feet. I couldn't believe how I went from being "normal" to needing to inject myself with daily insulin injections in order to stay alive. I felt misunderstood, depressed and confused. My medical team didn't help much. They gave me a crash course on type 1 diabetes, handed me insulin, and I was left to deal with it on my own. I had a constant fear of dying from lows. I was also terrified of diabetic complications. I was suffering, and I felt hopeless. I felt like I had no control over my health.

My life changed when I decided to look for answers that would help me get away from all this pain type 1 diabetes was causing me. I wasn't going to allow myself to settle for a life I hated. That's when I started researching as much as I could about type 1 diabetes. I joined t1d online forms, Facebook support groups and interacted with as many type 1 diabetics as possible. I wanted desperately to find out what others were doing to manage their unique diabetes. That's when I stumbled upon the solution. I learned that if I emulate the same blood sugar levels as someone with a working pancreas, I could avoid diabetic complications. This gave me hope. Talking to hundreds of type 1 diabetics, I created a strategy to help me keep blood sugar levels normal and stable. In 5 months, my A1Cs went from 11.7 to 5.1 ( I have been able to maintain A1Cs below 5.7 for over 3 years). Not only did my A1Cs dramatically improve, but I also felt like I was in control over health, returning the confidence I had lost after my diagnosis. I felt like I could do everything I once did without diabetes interfering.

While I started to get very good at managing my blood sugar levels, I began to post my T1D journey on my Instagram account. Little by little, people from all over the world started following me and asking me for help. As a result, I became obsessed with creating positive and encouraging content pushing type 1 diabetics to improve the way they manage type 1 diabetes. Helping type 1 diabetics have normal blood sugar levels and feel more confident in how they live life became my passion. I decided to quit my 9 - 5 job and help type 1 diabetics full time. Now I made it my mission is to help 500 type 1 diabetics improve A1Cs, and master control over their unique diabetes.

The Key To Unlock Your Full Potential As Type 1 Diabetic

Once you've attained this, you may never want to go back. It's the combination of these three vital factors forming the ultimate "bliss zone" ...

Remember: You need to "unlock" all three together – otherwise you're just stuck in the outer zone...

  • #1: Believe In Yourself

The ability to accept you current health situation and confront type 1 diabetes is crucial. If you don't believe in yourself then no matter how hard you try, your mind will always limit you. You will always find reasons why you can't. Believing in yourself is where it all begins.

  • #2: Understand Your Body

FEAR caused by type 1 diabetes will go away once you understand your body and how blood sugar levels react to everything. You will feel safe that you wont go low and you can start enjoying the present moment. When you build a good relationship with your body diabetes wont feel "random" because you understand yourself.

  • #3: Set Healthy Habits

Type 1 diabetes will force you to become the healthiest version of yourself. Setting habits in place that will help you keep blood sugar levels stable and in a normal range will make you look and feel amazing. Your health keeps improving as you keep normal stable blood sugar levels.

What Makes The Type 1 Diabetics I Help So Successful?

There really is no "secret" to it – me and my team are simply super-attentive to details and solely focussed on results. Here's what 93% of our clients say were the most instrumental ingredients to their success:

  • Proper System & Guidance

It all starts with the foundation – faulty system = faulty results. Starting with a proven game plan made by a type 1 diabetic for type 1 diabetics. A system that is practical and the support from someone who understand what it is like to live with type 1 diabetes makes the difference.

  • Speed of Implementation

Instead of wasting weeks for the "perfect time to start", we make sure our clients take action. Embarking a health transformation takes energy. Knowing that there's an early "phase of inertia" when you start something new, the key is to get the ball rolling, and keep the momentum.

  • Developing Skills For A Lifetime

Type 1 diabetics who are able to achieve long-lasting changes in their lives, do so because they have developed a tangible skill. Mastering control over blood sugar levels is a skill that will help you with your health for the rest of your live.

  • Accountability

You're going to be influenced by the people you spend the most time with. This is why it's much easier to make leaps and bounds when you have someone keeping you accountable to reaching your health goals, especially if that person has the results with type 1 diabetes you desire.

  • Mental Shifts & Breakthroughs

We often deal with old, archaic thought patterns and limiting beliefs in ourselves that don't suit us as we're growing. Part of my job is to help you overcome those limiting believes that stops you from feeling confident in managing type 1 diabetes. Within a short amount of time, our clients learn to think differently about the type 1 diabetes, nutrition and themselves.

  • Continuous Improvement

With the habits set in place you are always improving your health. You never feel stuck or like you don't have control over you blood sugar levels. You are always gaining information over your body and adapting your strategy to what's going on with your lifestyle.
